Mrs. Naidoo has also had the opportunity to work on the other end of the spectrum with perpetrators and inmates in the Federal Prison System. This broad array of experiences has equipped her to research and develop programs to better meet the needs of those at risk, while specifically providing resources and training for those in jeopardy of re-offending. Given her familiarity with many of the practical challenges that often impede successful partnerships between state governments and community-based organizations seeking to serve people released from prison, Mrs. Naidoo assisted in drafting a guide developed for policy makers through the Council of State Governments Justice Center. On a national level, Mrs. Naidoo has been invited to present innovative ideas at conferences and roundtable discussions revolving around prisoner reentry, some of which include the National Summit on Prisoner Reentry hosted by the White House Conference on Faith Based and Community Initiatives and the Reentry Panel for the National Legislative Conference together with the Congressional Black Caucus. She has also had the honor of presenting the program to an audience of political leaders including former President Bill Clinton and former United States Attorney General, Alberto Gonzalez. Mrs.Naidoo completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in Social Work at the University of Texas Arlington. She holds a Master’s of Science in Social Work and is licensed by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners. Mrs. Naidoo has completed additional hours for her advanced clinical practice license and oversees her own private practice, Naidoo Family Services, LLC in Dallas, TX. She is professionally affiliated with the National Association of Social Workers, Texas Chapter and is actively serving on the Board of Directors for a Community Health Care Center (FQHC) for the underserved. Mrs. Naidoo is an active member of her church where she volunteers with various ministries and conferences. She is also an active member of her community. Tina Naidoo’s most valued treasures are those found in her role as a loving wife to Attorney Shaun Naidoo, and proud mom to a beautiful son, Zion Naidoo!
